I've been looking into dance photography some more and there has a lot to process , there has been a lot of different types of photography out there and a lot of video projects out there. I started out fresh for my influences with what gets me going always and that is music , be that from a video or just on my ipod , music helps my creative process , it clears my mind but it also makes my brain explode with ideas and thoughts that connect all together to create some brilliant ideas There was two differnent songs that i love the video of and also the actual music in general those were The Weeknd - Earned It
The top video i enjoyed the lights, the Choreography of the dancers in relativaty with the male singer , The fact that he seems uninterested in the dancers almost as if he has had enough of this kind of things. it is all just a show for the male , the lighting is amazing , i have always been a fan of spotlights in the dark type of videos and photos for that matter. Between the two videos this is my most influenced one ,it is the lighting , the pacing and the connection between the source material.
Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud
This video i enjoyed because of how well the song fits with the video , the same i would say of the video above but instead of the distance towards the other people there is more intimacy towards each other , almost longing , that is something i would find interesting to create because it has got to be nigh on impossible to be able to remember all of the hard and complex choreography and on top of that showing that kind of emotion towards someone is a rare ability and it is something i would enjoy trying to show it in my future work The Location that this is shot at i found to be aesthetically pleasing, the high ceilings the openess of the area in contrast to the two of them dancing together gives more of a intimacy between them , i am also a fan of how it flows with the camera work , i watched the behind the scenes and i saw how hard it was to plan and perfect this video , if i was to attempt anything like this i know that it would take a chunk of my time and it would take up the same if not more time than my degree time. From these two videos i have gained some ideas from which i can go from in the future , the main things that i gained from these videos is how much i enjoy dance , how much i enjoy working with lights but most importantly the fact i could combine the two aspects to create something as brilliant as the music videos shown above.
