Chosen style , lets make a amazing website

So i have chosen my style and ive even made a start on the website , The site template that i have chosen is this one

I like the contrast between the light and the dark , i have made a few changes to it so far to make it my own style as shown below

I have changed the layout and design of the navigation buttons , the colours i have changed to make them fit with the images that i will be uploading eventually. I think that this is a good start i am going to have a look at more examples to try and get more of feel for what looks right
